What is truth? Contrary to what we hear declared every time they open their mouth it is not the words from the mouths of the 2016 Presidential candidates. Their words come out usually in response to a prior comment or criticism. Their ideas and paths wander along an ever moving line that is swayed to and fro by many factors, including polls, news commentators and opponents. I personally rarely take what a politician says at face value. Too many times the words and the actions are strangers to one another.
There is only one dependable source of truth, and it certainly is not embodied by someone in a red and blue caped outfit. It is found within the 66 books of the Holy Bible. For almost my whole life I have held this view and there is no one on earth who could change that opinion, no one! Truths such as Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Or John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. No politician or other worldly power can negate these truths.
There is another truth that we Christians either purposely or accidentally forget. It is The Great Commission, given by Jesus Christ in Mark 28:15-16 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Here is another truth: WE OWE THE WORLD THIS ACT. Someone told us, because we now are among the believers, the redeemed, and the followers of the one TRUE God.
Truth will always be True and as it says in John 8:31-32 31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
