Redemption is a powerful concept. If you will think about it a minute and try to quantify the number of books, television shows movies and the like centered on a quest for redemption you will realize redemption is something almost everyone seeks at one time or another. There are so many flavors of redemption though. There is relationship redemption, work redemption and so many more types. But of course the redemption I choose to highlight on my faith centered blog is the redemption offered through Jesus Christ.
Okay, for those of you with a knowledge of faith things allow me to expand on this for those who might be new to the concept of Christ giving salvation. The redemption an unsaved person seeks is to be saved from eternal separation from God. All humans are given the same path to a mortal end, which is physical death at the end of whatever accumulation of days, weeks, months and years God blesses you with. What separates those with the gift of eternal life from those with eternal death or separation from God is the redemptive process of salvation that comes through Christ.
Two thousand sixteen years ago Christ gave his life as a living sacrifice for us in order to cement the redemption process. John 3:16 tells us: For God so Loved the World that He gave us his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal Life. Also John 14:6 tells us: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. So God made a plan for us to be saved and the only way it works is by taking Jesus’ offer and changing your life forever.
Have you taken the step to claim you redemption? If not I urge you to do that today. Please feel free to ask me about how it is done.
